Well, most of us are surely hoping that energy is not finite - and there are people who would encourage us in this view. But the Great Energy Crisis has been predicted so often and for so long - and generally for good enough reasons - that complacency could appear to be an uninformed choice.
Amazing scientific breakthroughs or even supernatural happenings may be just around the corner, but in the meantime, many enterprises are also employing and improving the knowledge and technical applications that already exist.
